Couto Construction co-owner Jason Couto advised members of the SCYPN to seek out mentors and soak in what they have to say as he shared his success and failures at the most recent CEO Unplugged. Jason was energetic and engaging as he spoke to about 20 members of the SouthCoast Chamber at Couto Construction’s home office on Ernest Street. Afterwards, he took questions from the crowd, many who said they were inspired by his hour-long presentation. Providence, RI, here we come. Couto Construction is excited to be one of more than 300 exhibitors at the 68th Rhode Island Home Show coming up April 5-8 at the Rhode Island Convention Center. We’ve been consistently servicing Providence, Bristol and Newport counties for years, so Rhode Island is our second home. Storm chasers are out-of-town companies that show up in post-storm conditions and canvas the area looking to do quick repairs. As quick as they come in, they’re out of town, leaving unfinished or shoddy work behind because they won’t be responsible once they’re out of the area. In some cases, they even promise a free roof, collect the insurance money and then don’t repair the roof. Try getting a hold of a storm chaser after they’re back where they came from. More than 3,000 people are expected to attend the 8th annual BC Home & Garden Show on March 10, and we’re hoping to meet them all. Couto Construction will have a booth at this popular event, scheduled for between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School. Admission is free.
