The types of insulation we install

Cellulose Insulation: Cellulose insulation is treated with a non-toxic borate solution making it pest and mold-resistant. It’s an effective and durable material that can raise your attic’s R-value (how well insulation can resist heat). It won’t run the risk of compressing and has a Class-1 fire safety rating. Cellulose is blown-in insulation made from recycled newspaper, so it’s environmentally friendly. Air sealing should be done prior to installing the insulation.
Rigid Foam Insulation: Rigid foam insulation fills in where cellulose isn’t ideal. It’s a durable and water-resistant material available in panels which can be cut to the size needed. This insulation helps improve your home’s energy efficiency. Air sealing upgrades are typically combined with this insulation for more effective results.
Radiant Barrier Insulation: During the summer, the attic is the warmest part of your house. Any ductwork in your attic can heat up, causing your AC unit to have to work harder to cool your home. Radiant barriers reflect heat and are a great solution to this problem. When properly installed, they can reflect up to 97% of the sun’s rays.
Duct Insulation: When ductwork in your attic is left uninsulated, your heating and cooling systems are more susceptible to temperature shifts. This causes your systems to be inefficient and prone to leaks. During the summer, the cold air from your AC unit goes through hot ductwork and heats up.
