Impressed with salesman presentation by Claudio. Received other quotes for new roof which were $5000 lower. However, decided to go with a more reputable company based on the quality of materials & lifetime guarantee, along with insured installers. Met with supervisor, Josue Correa, the day of roof installation and again following completion of new gutters. His team was hard working throughout the day. The new roof and gutters look great. Josue also inspected the job upon his return to pick up excess materials and always encouraged communication with him if I had any questions or concerns. The young man who brought the dumpster, Devyn Alves, will make a good salesman for Couto Construction! Everyone had good things to say about each other and the owners. Seemed like good teamwork going on and everyone was working together. Office personnel also very helpful & professional.
JIM was the crew leader working on the Roof, Gutters, Painting and Windows at our South Central, New Bedford location...but an individual, in depth review, will follow from the senior home owner who contracted these services and can professionally speak on it, as a Retired Engineer. Which shall cover the performance on the "outside infrastructure", as well, some time after completion.
Manny really turned what was going to be a mediocre review to a very positive one. There were some communication issues early on (not with him), but those were resolved. Then there were some technical/email issues with the finance company, so I called there and the woman was incredibly rude. Once I got past that, the woman from Couto who called to review everything and schedule the job was so pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. I feel bad I don't have her name! The workers who did the roof were nice and early. I have been working from home and was concerned about the noise but they were pretty quiet throughout the job, considering a roof job can be loud! They worked well into the night, it was dark, and then it started snowing! The next morning they returned early again to finish up a few loose ends and cleaned up very well! Manny was the best! He went over everything with me when the job started, then came to talk with me so he could answer questions that I had. He came back two more times to check on the job, and on me! The walk around was especially helpful and thorough. He is so personable and helpful, with an enormous amount of knowledge. He even gave me advice for the roof on the garage that I am considering replacing with Couto/him in the future. He really made me much more comfortable about everything, seeing that I had a few issues in the beginning. They were minor issues, but enough to cause me some hesitation. He set my mind at ease. He is wonderful.Thank you!
My only only issue is this. i had because of financial issues, applied and been approved for an employee assistance program through my employer. I had water that had been leaking into my roof through my ceilings so badly I had mold. My initial quote was $7500 for the the entire roof. My employer paid for $5000. I wasn't able to come up with the additional money and $5000 paid for only half my roof. They were wonderful and did a great job but I just felt that $5000 could have paid for a little more. The work was terrific and thorough. And EVERYONE was very nice.
Needing a new roof and also working as a project manager in construction I was unable to be home during the project. From the signing, to the dumpster removal after project completion cesar and the team seamlessly completed the project in one day and kept me informed every step of the way despite working around a blizzard 2 days prior to install. They set expectations and meet them. Definitely setting a standard in the industry. strong work
The Crew at Couto Construction led by Project Manager Caesar did a great job replacing our aging roof, The team showed up at 7am and worked until dark to get the project completed. Ceasar did a great job communicating with the team ensuring that all the work would be completed professional and efficiently. We took advantage of a great deal to have the roof repaired and defer payment for the work for 6 months. This was one of the main reasons we chose Couto to complete the work giving our business payment flexibility during our off season and during the pandemic. We are hopeful that this offer is honored as advertised and promoted by Couto. I would recommend Couto Construction for your next roofing project.

We recently had Couto Construction complete a redesign of our front door/entry. Their services included residing (3/4 in stone and 1/4 in shaker vynl), a new front door, and reframing of the front door and window.
